Get tunes through your skull while swimming
Finis is giving swimmers an interesting way to carry their tunes with them while swimming laps as they announced their new waterproof SwiMP3 player. In an interesting twist from traditional MP3 players, the SwiMP3 uses "bone conduction -- the direct transfer of sound vibrations from the cheek bone to the inner ear -- to provide the swimmer with exceptional sound clarity."
While technical specifics were not available, Finis said the SwiMP3 will hold 30 songs, or approximately four hours, of music. It is available now for $249.99.
